Cling cling cling

August 2010
Today I found myself digging out the Baby Bjorn in an attempt to give Pebble the mummy time she so desperately wanted, while trying to get a few nagging jobs done around the house. Needless to say, at 8kg and seven months old, this did not work very well. Aside from the massive weight and constantly kicking legs, chopping vegetables, managing boiling pots and pans, and hanging out washing are probably not the best jobs to attempt while wearing a baby strapped to your chest. Hmmm?
Never fear, I did not actually do these jobs. I thought about it for half a second, then gave in a got down on the floor with the little clingy koala for some giggle-and-roll. Ahhhh, that’s better. Baby giggles are worth so much more than clean washing and a tidy kitchen.
Did you get any jobs done today? Or did you get down for some giggle-and-roll of your own kind?

  1. Aww, how cute love the pictures! I tried the sling thing as a way to get things done when mine where babies, it was funny how many things I couldn't do while they were straped to me.

  2. She's such a cutie!

I could never get anything done with the bubba in the Bjorn. I always feared that feeling of them hanging in front as you bent down (you know the one!). But I used it so often to just walk about the place feeling happy to be away from the pram. x

  3. Flynn never liked his baby carrier, even though he wanted to be close to me all the time...
And no - i didnt get anything done yesterday. Flynn still had a fever on/off from Friday so we managed to give him some Nurofen and get our groceries done ( and vote! ) before he got grumpy. But then, in the afternoon, when his fever hit 39 degrees after more Nurofen....we spent four hours at the hospital. So no housework for me today!
