I just love markets! And these markets didn’t let me down.
Drooling yet?
Indoors the narrow lanes were crowded with stalls of local vendors selling their wares, and the hungry hoard ready to devour and delight. Outdoors the fresh fruit and vegetables were overflowing from buckets, boxes and bags.
THANK GOODNESS for grandparents!!! Pebble’s Grandad and Nana ‘Nette came along and I would have been lost without them. I don’t know why I thought I would have managed alone.
After a coffee collection my dad pushed Pebble in the pram at first, while Annette and I jumped from stall to stall looking for a bargain (and freaky veg).
Later Nana ‘Nette cuddled a sooky Pebble while we scoured the gorgeous cheeses, tarts, pastas, meats, chocolates, jams, sauces……… ahhhhh food heaven.
You’ll have to wait to find out more about my market shopping and the results in the kitchen.
Have a great Monday!
Yuuuuuuummmmmm! This is just another one of those things that i miss out on being in a rural town. We do have a great farmers market but its really only fruit and vegetables - not those delicious looking sweets!
