Yesterday we went to The Royal Adelaide Show with our little family plus my sister and her two-under-three kiddies, my mum and my step-dad. The weather forecast was dodgy, but it pulled through for us and we managed to stay pretty dry. We danced with The Fairies, visited all the animals, ate gourmet food (no dagwood dogs for us!), had a spin in a tea cup, and spent too much money on over-priced plastic and chocolate. It’s got to be done, right?
Going to the show with kids is a very different experience to going as a couple of DINKS, but I think (for the most part) it was all the better for it. I’ll definitely do it again…… but maybe not next year. A nice long break from The Show makes you enjoy it all the more when you return, don’t you think?
Now, I’m off to make a cuppa and scoff some more chocolate covered morsels.
